Welcome to UNLEASH!
I am
proud and excited to introduce you to UNLEASH! Unleash will prove to be one of
the most courageous faith adventures in our church's long and storied history.
Over
eighteen years ago, a small group of Christ-Followers began a journey of faith
and sacrifice, with the dream of birthing a church whose blueprint was Christ's
"Great Commandment" and "Great Commission". This blueprint
dictated that we first, introduced people to their personal Savior, Jesus
Christ and second, that we build these new followers of Jesus into disciples
who were loving God, loving people and serving the world. This blueprint
has never changed, even today the mission remains the same!
So what
is UNLEASH? The goal of UNLEASH is to begin the process of reducing/eliminating
our debt. Why? So that we can more effectively carry out the blueprint, the
mission of Christ for His church.
As we
reduce/eliminate our debt it will free up resources that are currently being
used for mortar and instead, these resources would then be used for ministry
and mission.
Unleash,
is not about building buildings, but building disciples! The truest measurement
of ministry success isn't measured in the square footage of our buildings, but
in the making of disciples who reflect the values, priorities, and lifestyle of
Jesus.
Not
only will UNLEASH allow us to enhance our ability to make disciples, but it
will also help us leverage our desire to display God's love more fully within
our community and beyond through ever increasing acts of
compassion.
As I
said earlier, UNLEASH is a bold and courageous "next step" for our
church family. We have met challenges head on in our past and we will continue
to do so in our present and our future.
The
success of unleash will require surrender, faith, sacrifice and commitment, of
not just a few of us but of all of us! Please pray about what God wants to do
in your life as we begin this spiritual journey called UNLEASH!
