WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU COME...
WHAT TIME TO BE HERE
Our service times are Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:30am. We offer full Children's Programming at both services. Middle and High School Students are encouraged to attend with their parents or serve on Sunday mornings. Our Students had their own service on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm.
WHERE TO PARK
As you pull into the parking lot off of 157th and Highway 65 you should find plenty of parking spaces in our main, south parking lot. Should that lot get full you will also find additional parking along the west side of our building that runs along Highway 65. Even more parking is available in our north parking lot or at the cement plant which is also to our north.
WHERE TO COME IN
If you've parked in our south parking lot, you can enter our building through our main south entrance. It is a large tan and green walk under awning with four glass doors. If you've parked along the west side of the building, the north parking lot or at the cement plant, you can enter the building throughout west entrance. The doors for that entrance are under the tan awning and Healing Place sign.
WHERE TO GO ONCE YOU'RE IN THE BUILDING
If you've come in the south entrance, you will immediately be in our cafe where you can purchase refreshments and donuts. You will also immediately see our Information Center. Here you can get any of your questions answered if you like. Just around the corner from the Information Center are two sets of large, wooden double doors. This is where you enter into our Auditorium for the adult service.
If you've come in the west entrance, you will walk straight ahead through an open set of glass doors, follow the corner around to the right and you will be in our main hallway. From the main hallway you can enter the main auditorium through one of two sets of large, wooden double doors. This is where we hold our adult service.
WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR KIDS
If you have children from the ages of infant through 5th Grade we have full programming at both services. If you're going to check your kids in for the very first time, you will find a "New Family Check-in" station located at the end of the main entrance hallway. If you've come in the south entrance you will see it directly ahead of you at the end of the main hallway. If you've come in the west entrance, you'll see it directly in front of you at the end of the hallway as you begin to turn right to go to the auditorium.
At this station you will find friendly and helpful servants who will take some basic information from you and get the kids checked into the system. Your children will be issued name tags and you will be given a corresponding receipt that matches the coding on your kids name tags. This is a security measure because when you pick your kids up at the end of the service, you will be matching your kids name tag id with your receipt id. Once they've been checked in, one of our friendly servants will escort you and your child to their classroom. Once your child is comfortable and situated, you can leave them in our care and attend the adult service in the main auditorium.
Immediately following the service you can pick your kiddo(s) up from their class room.
WHAT ABOUT MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLERS
If you have a Middle or High School student, their "church service" takes place on Wednesday nights. We encourage students to attend Sunday mornings with their parents in the main auditorium or to serve. There are lots of serving opportunities for students on Sunday morning so they can be a part of something.
We've found that by getting students to serve on Sunday morning is an effective way to help them become more comfortable working side by side with adults on Sunday mornings. One reason we've learned over the years that students tend to "check out" of church is because they don't feel very comfortable working side by side with "grownups." By getting them past this hurdle during their teenage years, our hope is that it will be the "norm" for them to hang with people older than themselves.
WHAT ABOUT...? If you still find yourself lost or a bit confused, please stop by our Information Center. There will be friendly people waiting there to help get your questions answered and to get you pointed in the right direction.
A FRIENDLY AND CASUAL SERVICE
Here at Horizons, we'll make sure the first face you see when you approach the church has a smile on it. Whether your looking for a great children's program, a fun and challenging place for your teens or a new Church Home for your entire family, a greeter will be nearby to help you get where you need to go.
Don't worry about what you are wearing. We're more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear. So, dress casually, relax and enjoy your time with us. Jeans and a t-shirt are perfect! :)
You will hear great music and a message that is practical and relevant and will help you deal with real life issues. What you learn and experience on the weekend, you'll be able to use during the week.

Whether your teen is in high school or junior high, we'll bring a biblical message of hope and challenge to them every week. We use cutting edge videos, fun games and music that rocks to shatter the stereotype that church has to be boring.
